Doherty <br /> THE TAPE IS NOT PART OF JHE MEETING. IT IS FOR 1 E PURPOSE OF TRANSCRIBING <br /> MINUTES. <br /> Mr. George R. Costa, ChairMdn <br /> 1 . Warrants signed <br /> . Mr. Doherty motioned to accept the minutes of September 28,, 1989, Mr, <br /> Costa seconded, all agreed. <br /> 3. Mr. Oreel i h motioned to accept the emergency meeting minutes of October <br /> 3, 1989, Mr. Doherty seconded, all agreed <br /> . Application for pumping license, Patrick R. Gonsalves - Mr. Evans reported <br /> 'that while ACME Pumping Co. was in the process of disposal an engineer from <br /> Weston & Sampson , working around the lagoon area, complained -to 'the driver <br /> of the mess he was creating , at which time the driver left without fully <br /> emptying the contents of his pumping truck. Mr. Evans relayed he didcon- <br /> tact fir. Scipione and the owner of ACME to inform them of -the situation. <br /> Mr. Evans stated he did go out to the 'lagoon area .and spoke with the engi- <br /> neer who did inform him that the dr l ver was emptying the truck without a <br /> hose. Mr. Evans commented subsequently the driver did return with a hose <br /> however a fair amount of septage was spilled outside the pits and ques- <br /> tioned the Board as to what action they would lice to take to clean up <br /> the spillage, <br /> Mr. McQuaid relayed 'that ACME has been retained by Quashnet Iia l l ey to <br /> pump dll fourteen tanks and have questioned how to dispose f the large <br /> amounts of septage. Mr. McQuaid stated he did inform ACME that they <br /> could reserve the fey for Thursdays and suggested pumping on the weekends. <br /> The: issue i s , after this incident, should pumpers be permitted to dump on <br /> Thursdays. <br /> M , Costa stated if ain emergency arises 'the pumpers will be permitted to <br /> empty their trucks on Thursdays however an agent must be present during <br /> disposal . <br /> Mr. McQuaid explained that as the dump is closed on Thursdays and pump- <br /> ing is light on the weekends that the 3700 gallon limit could be raised <br /> for the remaining four days. <br /> Mr. Costa suggested -the agents wo K out a schedule for gallonge accepted <br /> on a daily basis and requested the agents to forward letters -to all lic- <br /> ensed pumpers informing them that hoses leading from the outlet valve are <br /> rewired, <br /> t <br />
