wetlands. He began by stating that he was just over at the Conservation
Commission to upgrade the septic system. Basically it is a t vo-be iroorn dwelling.
They are pushing the system as far as they can to keep it 5' off of the property
line. They require a 3' variance to the wetland and 9 6' on the other side. There is
town water on this street. They don't need a variance for the reserve because
there is a foundation. It is a strip system. That is why they kept it open. It is
required that a strip has ' on either side versus getting into the street layout and
the utilities while maintaining the septic system on the property.
Mr. Doherty asked if there currently was a cesspool.
Mr. Sanicki confirmed that there was a cesspool at the present time, They are
upgrading to the 'Title V requirements.
Mr. Ball made a motion to grant the variance of 5' offthe property limes and 71
from the wetlands.
Mr. Harrington interrupted Mr. Ball and stated that just before- they passed the
motion. The north abutter did call on this matter and was concerned with the
potential possibility that this system would interrupt or impact the ability to build
on an adjoining lot. Mr. Harrington advised this person that all he had to do was
merely a siting as to where his septic system is located and stays 10' off because
'it would be new construction. But, if he where to be granted a variance he would
still have to stay more than ' off'. That was the end of it. 'There was no further
discussion. 'There was no disapproval from the north abutter. He just wanted to
put it on record that he did call.
11r. Ball said that the motion rests. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion
passed. '
APPOINTMENT- I o vn Cape Engineering 21 East road
Michael Leone, homeowner, was present and requesting a reduction between an
existing well and a proposed three bedroom leaching facility (from 150' to 128' or
a 2' variance. No other variances are necessary an ground grater is estimated at
greater than o' beneath the leaching facility.
M s. Warden asked Mr. Darrington if there was an abutter that complained. Mr-.
Harrington couldn't recall an abutter calling. Ms. warden stated that the abutter
did complain but never called back after speaking with her.
Ms. Carron remembered the abutter calling. She lured off Cape and had been
spending summers at this location for years.
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Harrington asked what were the regulations that they had to
fall under. was it 110 gallons per bedroom or 10,000 square feet per bedroom?
Mr. Harrington responded that he wasn't in Zone Il and he is not on a well. The
only variance that they were requesting was the separation from the abutters well
12
