Ms. warden stated that the owner had been in-touch with both the DPW and us <br /> in regards to the billing procedures. They would have to mail out the refuse <br /> regulations with the permit. <br /> Mr. Ball asked if the BOH was issuing neer licenses now. <br /> Mr. Doherty replied that there were few new applications. There were quite a few <br /> renewals. <br /> Ms. warden stated that he would be haulmng trash in this area. <br /> Mr. Santos asked if Cape Waste had done business in other towns. Had anyone <br /> done any background research into his por business practices? Is he a brand <br /> new business? <br /> Ms. Carron responded that she believed that he said that he did most of his <br /> business off Cape. <br /> Is. warden confirmed that that was the information that he had given us. <br /> Mr. Santos asked if there was any protocol regarding a background check on new <br /> applications. <br /> Mr. Ball responded that they norm;n ill r don't do any background check until they <br /> screw up. He thea asked if the BOH had any history on this mars. <br /> IVIS. warden responded that they didn't have any history on this man or his <br /> company. <br /> Mr. Ball continued that some of the ones that the BOH does have history on have <br /> had a problem with payment. He wouldn't mention any names. <br /> Mr. Santos continued that some'other applicants have given references for other <br /> towns or other- places that they do business. <br /> M . warden responded that she would be happy to do a background check on <br /> this company to the best of her ability. <br /> Mr. Santos made a motion to approve this permit pending a review of his prior <br /> work history. Mr. Ball seconded. Motion passed. <br /> Mr. Harrington continued by asked IVIS. Carron if the owner stated that he was <br /> moving down Dere from an off Cape location. <br /> IVIS. Carron confirmed that that was the owner had stated. <br /> Mr. Ball continued that one or two references would be good enough. <br /> 31 <br />
