Mr. Doherty continued that he was hoping that there was plumbing there
that would have made the situation easier. But, there isn't.
Dr. Lindauer then presented the other option, which was professional
grade antiseptic and wipes. He would be willing to have these available
at all times for the massage therapists. It is professional grade that he
obtains through chiropractic supplies and OSHA approved.
Mr. Doherty continued that he would rather see the sinks. Looking at the
plans gives them an idea of the logistics involved.
Mr. Ball said that there really didn't appear to be any hardship involved.
He asked Ms. Warden what Mr. Harrington's recommendation was in this
matter.
Ms. Warden stated that Mr. Harrington hadn't provided any
recommendations.
Mr. Doherty reiterated that the question before them is a variance. He
said that he would entertain a motion.
Mr. Ball made a motion to deny Dr. Lindauer's request for an omission of
sinks in his facility at the World Gym. Mr. Santos seconded the motion.
Two in favor and one opposed. Those in favor carried. Motion approved.
Dr. Lindauer requested a time frame to have this completed.
Mr. Doherty stated that as long as the BOH sees that he is making a good
faith effort to comply with this request then they would be happy. Did he
have to get into negotiations with the landlord? He would have to get
something from a plumber. That would take a couple of weeks, which
would be okay.
Ms. Warden asked that the BON members set a time frame.
Mr. Ball asked what she would be comfortable with.
Mr. Ball made a motion to have the sinks installed by May 30t', 2002. Mr.
Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed.
APPOINTMENT:
Tad Kuhn (Boys & Girls Club) Food Code Variance
Mr. Ball stepped down from this appointment and discussion. His
daughter works at the Boys & Girls Club.
6
