samples aren't going to be taken. He guarantees that at some point they
are going to look back and use that data for something. Even though the
system and the numbers are down they are going to have those numbers
to say something. He doesn't really want to get into.locking somebody's
house up because they are going to turn off an approved septic system.
Ms. Warden stated that this is a local regulation. Therefore, in essence,
they are requesting a variance.
Mr. Harrington stated that a letter would be drafted with the BOH
members' opinion with a notification to the proponent along with a cc to
DEP Boston so that they stop getting these requests. They would truly limit them if that
would be the case.
Mr. Santos asked for any other comments.
Mr. Ball stated that you had to look at it in the manner of why did they
approve denitrification system in the first place? It was because they
wanted something from the BOH. The BOH is giving a lot away and now
they want something more. He agreed with everyone 100%.
Mr. Ball made a motion to deny the request to change this unit to a
seasonal basis. Ms. Grady seconded the motion. Motion passed.
B. Subdivision Review: Miller Farm Road, 2-Lots:
Mr. Harrington began by stating the BOH members had seen this before.
Their major comments were the drainage easement. He has discussed
11
