Ilr. rotzke stated that they had the additional building.
Mr. Harrington responded that he knew that they had torn down the two
cottages and combined the lots, as is this one. He understood that.
Mr. Santos asked if an extension had been given.
Mr, Grotzke responded that they had actually applied to DEP and there
were copies in their files from Earth tech's submittal to DEP.
Mr. Santos stated that what was in front of him noted that if it was not
tied in by April V, of 2001.
Mr, Grotzke responded that that was actually the Inn.
Mr. Harrington responded that the Inn was done and connected.
Mr. Grotzke stated that if a denitrification system was necessary. He was
sure it wouldn't be a problem. It's just that this would be the only lot of all
of these lots that has had that as a requirement.
is
Mr. Santos stated that he understood Mr. rotzke's position. However, he
was in agreement with hilt* Harrington in that there were a lot more
factors that come in to play along with the 751 variance, He was sure that
Mr, Grotzke was pretty familiar with the board's position on anything that
was 751 or less. They usually wanted a UV treatment along with the
denitrification system. He felt that that was straight across the board.
Mr. Harrington added that Mr. Doherty, the past chairman of the hoard,
would give some leeway in these matters because it was the sound and
not an inland area just as tar as input over him not being a stickler
;F because it was the sound and ground water does flow toward the sound is
valid point. It was not a so-called embayment where nitrogen i going to
allow the different types of flora to flourish.
Mr. Grotzke continued by stating that in the long ruin the level of Dean's
Pend is typically elevation i I can't understand this part of the tape.)
whereas being at sea level is about . . He has the hydro studies, which
shows the gradient flow toward the ocean. The UV is a kind of complex
technology that he has found not to work very well. 1n fact it is a high
maintenance and not very well functioning system.
Mr. Santos asked Mr. Harrington what his recommendation was on this
one. He was putting him on the hot seat.
10
k
