I
Mr. Ball pointed out the top of the coastal bank on the plans and noted
that the board's variances go mean high water mark.
Mr. Grotzke responded that the mean high water was on this side here, He
pointed it out on the pian. He explained that they were looking at to
separate things on the plan, He then pointed out the coastal bank and
Dean's Pond, There was another coastal bank on the far side of the house
with the septic going in another area. The septic was at least Zoo' away.
Mr. Harrington added that the Title V requirement is 501 from the coastal
bank, which they have.
Mr. Ball understood that and re-iterated that the board's requirement for a
denitrification system is 10011 from the mean high water mark or the BVW.
That blows this out and that doesn't even come into play. Mr, Ball
motioned to grant the variance as requested knowing that it was over
2001 from the mean high water mark,
Mr. Santos asked Mr. Ball if he didn't grant to condition it with a
denitrification system.
Mr. Ball didn"t feel that it even carne into play at all, it was over 100%
i
i Mr. Santos wanted the same condition that was applied to the ether
properties as far as time frame to hook up to the sewer system.
Ms. Grady asked that if the research shows that the other applicants were
not required to hook up within two-years, Could they just set a precedent
with this one regardless of the past history?
x
Mr. Bali and Mr, Santos both agreed that that was possible.
Mr. Grotzke added that they were currently in the process of getting the
thing permanent, The company that was designing the connections
through here were cited for a technical deficiency, which created a need
for some addition to re-design it and resubmit it to the DEP. He believed
that the timeline now is approximately 60 to 90 days. The process has
started.
Mr. Ball felt than two years was an appropriate timeframe.
Mr. Santos wanted to do it and research the others to see if the others
were handled in the same manner. He wanted to keep it consistent,
20
