Ms, Warden suggested that they make a smoking file and put all that
information in there.
DISCUSSION:
A. Woodward & Curran Deport for the Third and Fourth Quarter 2002 at the
Landfill:
IVIS. Warden stated that she had provided the report to the board members
as an FYI.
Mr. Santos had some questions regarding this report. The report noted
that there was a high concentration of lead that was above the drinking
water standard. But, it had no impact in the conclusion of the report.
There was no impact to the environment.
IVIS. Grady thought that they were discussing iron in the report.
Mr. Santos stated that it was manganese and lead. It was under
groundwater monitoring, which started on page 7. It had manganese and
iron. He asked if this was the complete report that was sent to the DEP*
Ms. Warden replied that they were asking the BFI's approval before
sending it to the DEP.
Mr. Santos stated that normally before they send therm. One thing that
was missing in this report was the page that showed the time of day
especially when they do the -gas monitoring that notes if there was a low-
pressure system. It is protocol that a low-pressure system should b
present when they do the gas monitoring because that is when the uses
collect the most. Usually, in his past experience in other landfill post-
closure reports there should be some record making a notation of this
protocol. Have they done that in the past? He was asking because if they
haven't...
IVIS. Grady interjected that the report noted that it was iron and
manganese.
IVIr. Santos apologized for his error. They could go on-line and Print the
page for the weather that day for the report.
IVIS. Warden stated that Woodard and Curran must know how to do the
testing and when.
Mr. Santos added that they should get a copy of the report that they
actually send to DEP. Might?
1
