Mr. Harrington noted that the meeting was going to take place on <br /> Tuesday, February 18"', 20039 at 7:00 PM, They warted board members to <br /> go. If they get a chance to make presentations, They wanted everybody <br /> there to do. They wanted to show the selectmen and Finance committee <br /> exactly what was going to happen should these cuts take effect. Mr, <br /> Harrington stated that he was going to cut what he could further out of <br /> the budget. Held rather give them a little and let therm be happy with a <br /> little. Mather than showing there nothing and have therm say screw the <br /> health department and make a bunch of cuts. <br /> Ms, Grady wasn't suggesting that they tale an approach that the BOH <br /> was non-touchable. However, what did they have to out from <br /> Mr, Harrington understood her point. But, he was going to have to out <br /> back on expenses. <br /> Mr* Santos suggested that they have a complete list of what this <br /> department gees. He stated that they wanted justification for every line <br /> item, for everything on that budget line by line. <br /> IIIb. Harrington agreed and stated that they were going attach mileage <br /> reimbursement and... <br /> Mr. Santos continued by stating that they way the whole meeting started <br /> out was that they went after$500,00 here and $1000,00 there. Finally the <br /> only smart one that spore up was Mr. Greene going why weren't they <br /> going after the big outs. They weren't going to find a $1,7 million dollar <br /> deficit by finding $500.00 here and there. They needed $100,000.00 cuts. <br /> Mr. Harrington agreed and added that everything now totally affected the <br /> way they operated on a day-to-day bass. That 10% cut took therm right to <br /> their current operating status. <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION: <br /> Being no further business Ms. Grady made a motion to adjourn the <br /> meeting at 8:50 PSI.
