i
Mr. Harrington responded that he usually spends an hour for a plan
review. He wasn't looking for anything for the funeral director fee, H
then roved on to the use of the UCCTs. He stated that Falmouth requires
the haulers to pay $500.00 for the haulers license and thea another
$250.00 for the use of UCCTS.
Mr. Santos felt that that was up to the DPW to inflict that upon the
haulers. That was out of the BOH's hands at this point in time. That was
double dipping. The BOH inspects the trucks and that was the end of if.
Mr. Harrington continued by stating that the soft serve ice cream
machines were a pain. When you do a food inspection, They have to be
sampled for choloform monthly. They also have to check their log to
make sure that they are cleaning therm even three days because if they
don't the choloforms will go sky high. He has run into problems with
these machines.
IIIb. Ball asked if the $25.00 fee was reasonable.
Mr. Harrington didn't think that that many places had them. He hadn't
seen that many in town that have therm. They usually have the hard serve
ice cream. The hypodermic needle permit fee was discussed next. IVIS.
Warden made copies of the needle permit. He found that permit
application today. The board before charged a license fee for people to
carry a syringe. The board offered a license to carry, which you had to
pay for. He wanted to have this to get money for the hypodermic
disposal. Furthermore, if they make this a regulation. It is through M. .L.
He wanted to speak with the doctors and the pharmacies about
ultimately making there take therm back.
Mr. Santos is a "cradle to grave" lave for hazardous waste. If they couldn't
find the person who illegally dumped it. Then whoever made it is
ultimately responsible for the product.
Mr. Harrington agreed and added that he granted to speak with Diane
fommelmeyer to establish a revolving account. This money could go into
a revolving account to purchase syringe containers. They could have
their own program at the board to give out the syringe containers. But,
the ultimate problem that needs addressing is where do you dispose of
therm. The one thing that you could do is for $ .00 the purpose gets the
box and a mailing box. When you have finished with your supplies you
take the box, tape it up and send it in the mail to the disposal company.
Mr. Santos agreed and stated that they did that with the re-chargeable
batteries. It is automatically billed back to the company.
