IL
first entered into the transaction of the property. Mr, Sanicki actually
sought Mr. Talanian out to do this. Mr. Talanian closed the door. He had
no idea that there were options with Mashpee commons until Mr* Fudala
mentioned the possibility. He did not plan on things following this course.
1f he had planned to do this he would never have written a check to Mr,
sa nicki for $12,000.00.
Mr. Harrington interjected that right new the board's timeline is the end
of this year, That is to have everything installed, done and up and
running. We are, at this point, in the middle of March. Is there any time
that the board could give therm that would allow therm to pursue Mashpee
Commons and give cape & Islands the time to finish the designs and
have the installs done by the end of the year, plus meet the board's
deadline? Is there some play right now to allow them to follow this path?
Mr. Santos asked if Mr. Harrington was referring to the end of this
i
calendar year.
Mr. Harrington confirmed that that was correct.
i
i
Mr. Santos didn't feel that it should take to long to obtain a letter of
commitment.
Mr. Harrington asked how long the board wanted to give theme to
investigate this option. There should be a drop-dead date of when they
should stop investigating other options and say lets go back to our
original agreement and say that the end of the year is it.
Mr. Ball added that it shouldn't be much time involved with the drop-dead
date in regards to the letter of commitment from Mashpee Commons.
They should either say yes or no.
Mr. Hafjar added that lir. Fudala wanted to be the point man and speak
with Mashpee Commons. He thought that that was fine. He didn't Know
what to tell there.
Mr. Santos added that this was going to have to go through DEP,
Mr. Sanicki said he would try to get the appropriate people on the phone
because he really didn't know what had transpired of late on this Ileal.
Mr. Santos asked what the original agreement was regarding the dates.
Was it a year from July or August when they first came in
Mr. Harrington felt that it was September V, 2003.
