Mr. Harrington replied that it had to be renewed every five years.
Both Ms. Grady and Mr. Santos noted that the one on file was expired.
Mr. Harrington noted that the board had the ability to grant up to 60 days
to obtain servsafe certification.
Ms. Grady made a motion to approve the food establishment application
for the Bleu Restaurant with the condition that two people are sersafe
certification within 30 days. Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion
passed.
. Landfill Contract
Mr. Harrington presented the landfill contract to the board. It had already
been approved, but the contract itself hadn't been signed.
OLD BUS.I N Es
A* Request for Letter of support - Brewster Board of Health
Mr. Harrington began by stating that Its. Warden and he had reviewed an
article in paper regarding this topic. This would end up being more of a
political move. Those were the two things
that would occur if they allowed this to happen, Is there the possibility of
the FDA to lose control over some of these drugs coming back into the
country?
Mr. Ball asked what the letter of support was for.
Mr. Harrington replied that the letter of support was to do it the way that
Canada does it in order to reduce the cost of the pharmaceuticals. He
didn't know all of the background of how Canada does it. He honestly still
had not figured it all out.
Ms. Grady asked if it was similar to Maine, They have a system of
socialized medicine type of thing for prescriptions.
Mr. Harrington thought that the plan was than the government of Canada
would buy all of the drugs and then everyone would buy there from one
