4
point in time.
Ms. Grady asked if these bills were the same.
Mr. Darrington responded the letters where from when the DEP was
actually sending the invoices, The other material is from the OSI
collection agency. These were DEP project oversight costs that were
billed to the town.
Ms. Grady asked who needed to pay this. The town
Mr. Harrington responded that the town needed to pay this. The DEP were
the ones who did the work.
Ms. Grady noted that the fee had more than doubled, It was originally
$600.00 and it was now $1940.00.
Mr. Harrington was not sure hover the fees were calculated.
A discussion ensued regarding hew the amount was calculated, it was
determined that there were three separate invoices.
Mr, Santos asked if this was pretty much an F*1 .1.
Mr. Harrington didn't know if it had to go to the finance committee or the
town administrator. The fees were going to someone. But, it was not
getting paid. There was nothing for it in their budget so they were going to
have to present it to the finance committee. It would appear that it had
been three years since they had received a notice. The last time a notice
was sent out was .duly of 2000. He didn't know where they were had
actually gone to,
Mr. Santos felt that they might be able to negotiate the interest.
APPOINTMENT: Todd Rice - Inside Scoop
Mr. Harrington suggested that they request a continuation. He had just
realized tonight while looking through the folder and state regulations
that it was necessary to determine what type of soft serve ice cream
machines that he had at his shop. Whether they were truly manufacturing
the ice cream there or if they were merely dispensing machines. There
was a difference. He was led to believe something else when he may not
have to have done any enforcement on this matter. It depended on what
machines he had. He was leaning towards the second theory.
Ms. Grady asked if Mr. Rice had called.
6
