Capital Improvement -Vehicle
Mr. Harrington advised the board member that the FY 2005 Capital
Improvement was due on Monday, The only item they have was the
vehicle. He was just going to put it in main for replacement. He felt that it
would get passed over again. He did feel that the other item they needed
to be concerned with was the landfill. It needed to be re-seeded because
it was suffering from erosion on the north and west side of it.
Ms. Warden felt that they could verify this request with the past
correspondence with the previous engineering firms that have been
mentioning it for the last five years.
Mr. Harrington asked if it had been a recommendation.
Ms, Warden responded that it had been a recommendation in the past.
Mr, Harrington felt that they needed to look at it.
Ms, Grady asked if that would fall into the capital improvement bucket*
Mr, Harrington responded that it absolutely fall into that; bucket, it would
be more than $25,000.00. It should be put in under review or study to start
the process. He asked Mr. Santos if he wanted to do a walkover. He would
appreciate his input. There were some ruts and stuff. The mowers were
taking their toll. It was nothing that he felt..
Mr. Santos felt that they could put it under study and obtain some quotes.
They would thea know a ballpark figure to ask for. He remembered
hearing about this for four or five years.
Mr. Harrington added that there was some actual slumping on top of the
liner and some crevices opening up. They have actually filled in due to
erosion. Buts again, they were losing a lot of vegetations
Mr. Santos asked if on the C.I.P. was there an area for "required or
mandated by law".
Mr. Harrington responded that the form just said "status of project and
survey of need."
