O'Malley began by stating that she received her first notice by mail
ten days ago about this situation, she knew that the septic needed to b
fined. However, she was unaware that it had been in failure since 2001, It
had never been addressed to her that it needed to be fixed or that
someone had come to look at it. Nothing.
Mr. Ball stated that it seemed like she had been left out of the loop.
Ms. 'Malley stated that she spoke to her attorney today.
Ms. Warden interjected that the legal owner on file was Lisa Abelli. Her
name was not on there.
Ibis. O'Malley stated that it should be.
Ms, Warden stated that this is what the assessor's office has for
information.
Mr. Harrington added that this was why Ms. 'Malley was not receiving
the notices because she was not down as an owner at the assessor's
office. They notify the legal owner who was on file at the assessor's
office and Lisa Abelli was the only owner noted there. It was not until the
deed was checked in order to get the loan documents prepared that they
found that she was also a co-owner of the property and began to receive
notification.
Ms. O'Malley asked if it was ten days ago. she was nearer notified
officially by anybody.
Ms. Warden stated that it was FIs. Abelli's attorney. She had to look in
the yellow pages to find hires. she had to call the attorney back to locate
the attorney. They were kind of lost trying to notify her of what was going
on. That was probably why it was late. Ms. Warden asked her what was
going on. Were they going to try to make repairs to the system?
IACs. 'Malley stated that she had no idea what state the system was in
and hadn't seem any reports or inspections.
Vis. Warden replied that it had failed. They were a lithe upset about i
because it was going into the pond across the street. It had been
witnessed on several occasions..They had been trying to get then to fisc
it. Most people don't have the money up front to give it to the installers to
fix it. 'There was ar low interest loan program. You pay up to twenty years.
1
