x
ti
x
than to consider more treatment. He suggested that.the board of health
reconsider the allowable seating at carbo's restaurant since the
calculated flow and written decision in front of them does agree. The
exterior seating of 20 seats according to his client was not authorized b
the condominium documents, If the board agreed to this reduction thea
the total flow for the entire site was 10,210 CPD. If the interior seating in
Carbo's were limited to 51 seats then the total flow to the five buildings
would thea be 91965 CPD. He enclosed a revised chart with the reduced
flows. All he did there was take the flows from the lest chart that he
talked about for Building A on the design for 2003 and totaled therm up
with a number 3955 GPD, which is still under Tide V. His client hopes
that you vote such a reduction and in your considerations remember the
difficulties he has been subjected to in the history of the restaurants in
R
making this decision. If the BOH did reduce the design flown to less than
10,000 CPD then the DEP will then issue an approval for the OAR
systems. The systems could be installed as soon as the contractor was
available. That was why they were here to address the issues raised by
the DEP.
Mr. Ball asked Mr. Harrington how many sews carboys was licensed for,
What was the permit allowance?
Mr, Harrington responded that at this point he believed the approved
figure to be 68 seats.
Mr. Santos asked Mr. McGrath if he was basing his calculations on the 35
CPD per seat. 4
Mr. Hajar responded that that was correct.
Mr. Santos felt that they did authorize increased seating a few years ago
based on using paper products, which would be the 20 CPD flow.
Mr. McGrath stated that the Title V as of 1995 stated that fast food
restaurants could use 20 CPD per seat as based on paper plates.
Mr. Santos felt that that was the outside seats.
Mr. Haliar stated that it was for both inside and outside seats at 100
seats.
Mr. McGrath stated that there were 100 seats as 20 CPD per seat.
Coincidentally at the same time period he ate there and he slid not use a
paper plate. They voted a new seat density within the last two years that
was a much higher number. There were 20 exterior seats that were at 20
4
