may} y*
4R
Mr. Ball thought that the first step would be to go to torn counsel and ask
them for their opinion on this matter.'He suggested that they fire up a
letter outlining their opinion and concerns.
Mr. Harrington felt that they would have to check and see because they
legally advertised the chnrter.in the paper. He did not know what the tie
between the ballot and the legal advertisement.
!els. Grady asked if they did not have a legal counsel for the state boards
of health*
Mr. Harrington stated that the people that they spoke with from the M HB
on the conference call would be their contact.-He had not beard anything
from Marcia Renes himself. They could request their help and their
i
opinion.
Mr. Santos felt that this did net have to go through town counsel. That
request could be made to the state attorney general's office. The people
who were in charge of the elections answered to the state attorney
general's office. It was not handled locally. The ballots were sent to this
office for review before they were submitted for voting purposes*
The board was unanimous in their opinion that the ballot question should
be reviewed by the state attorney general's office for review.
B. illegal Dumping
Mr. Harrington advised the board members that they had sent three more
notices for illegal dumping. Mr. Mason Pate was one of the names. He was
having some work done to his house. One of the other people was Gabriel
Santos of BGS construction in Falmouth. it ended up that Mr. BGS
Construction was doing the work on Mr. Pate's house in Yarmouth. Mr.
Pate carne in, nice guy, young kid, paid his $300.00 and was going to go
after Mr. BGS construction. Where were three other piles up there that all
showed up about the same time that Mr. BGS was dorm his dumping. N0- W
that he has cone in they have an idea of who it is and where he lures
along with a phone number. He was just waiting for him not doing
anything about and he would be paying a lot more. There were three other
piles. He dumped this just south of saddleback. It was all documented.
They were keeping after people just to.let thein know.
Being no further business, Mr. Santos made a motion to adjourn the
meeting at 8:50 PM.
