4
Mr. Santos asked him why he had not completed this task.
Mr..Young responded that when he first looked into it the water
department stated that they were not hooking up commercial interests.
That apparently had changed. He could not tell them exactly when that
was but it was probably three to four years ago. since then he had had the
well re-furbished and spent money in doing that realizing that they were
not hooking up commercial interests. He was not aware nor had he
received any communication from the 130H saying that he should b
testing the water and sending in an analysis. (ale then presented the
board with the analysis that was just completed.) But, again they didn't
even use the water for drinking or any human purpose. It was just to flush
the sanitary facility. They use bottled wafer and always have.
Mr. Santos felt he should back up and ask what they did there.
Mr, young stated that they roast and pack coffee. They sell bean coffee
and ground coffee to people who buy it and take it away.
y
Mr. Santos added that he had equipment that had to be washed and all of
that stuff. They did not use bottled water for washing. They use the well
water.
Mr. Young agreed that they used the well water to wash the equipment.
llrflr. Santos stated that that was why the stated wanted to .Hake sure that
they were not washing it with a solvent.
Mr, Harrington felt that the water district would probably comply if they
had a letter from the board of health along with it, even back then. They
had been pretty good about cooperating with the board as far as getting
facility tied in.
Mr. Sall stated that he was raving a hardship at this time. He wanted to
know if they had some type of time limit to get this done.
Mr, young responded that he felt that next year they could probably
include it in their budget.
Mr. Ball asked if next year by this time.
Mr. Young felt that that would be acceptable, Or if there were some
staged process they could participate in.
Mr. Bail asked what the federal regulation date was for the water testing.
8
