5
K
F
< came before theme They talked about it and Mr. Harrington was direct a
to why they could not do it. The only reason she brought it up was
because she was concerned if it ended up being the same situation. They
should re-visit this request,
Ms. Warden stated that when they continued to update the regulations
they would be putting a new one of these together. 'Then perhaps it would
be incorporated tato it.
Ills. Grady clarified -that right now because this regulation did not have a
section that addressed the at home massage issue they did not allow it.
Mr. Harrington confirmed that that was correct.
Ms. Warden stated that the closest they could come to the part of the
regulation they would be giving the variance to would be B
-r
"Establishment for giving massage shall mean the office, place of
business, or premises where massage is given."
llllra Harrington stated that each of the individual hones that she would be
going to would not necessarily meet the criteria. so if they were to grant
it on a one-time basis that would be the variance to be requested. If the
board wished to do it on a full time across the board to make it available
for all therapists then the regulation would need to be changed.
Ills. Warden stated Ms. Papareila had eight plus years and all of her
certifications.
Ms. Paparrelia stated that she had AMCA, national certification and a
licensed esthetician through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts,,
Ms. Warden asked if she used waterless sanitier when she went door to-
door.
Ms. Pa parell a produced the products in her bag that she used. she had
hospital, germicidal that killed tuberculosis, Hepatitis B, hand stuff and
table stuff. Her limens went to the Acne Linea service. she had clean
bergs, clean linen, dirty bags, and dirty linen. They picked it up for her.
Ms. Warden asked if she kept her licenses with her.
Ms..Paparella responded that she did not normally do that because it was
in the torn records. However, if that was something that they wanted her
to do she would be happy to do that.
Ms. Warden asked if the other towns placed any requirements on her.
5
