4
APPOINTMENT: Jeff Ryther, BSS Design - La Plaza Del sol
Mr, Fyther was present on behalf of the applicants for this address*
Attorney l irrane was also present along with the Patel, owners.
Mr. lyther began by stating that the last time they presented the project
they were trying to get some guidance from the board. They were under
the impression that the board would consider the plan that was in front of
there. The office was once on itys own lot as a separate dwelling. He
believed that Mr. Ball had said that since there was once a separate
dwelling, which was four bedrooms plus a small office area, Perhaps the
board would consider an update to the front yard rather than trying to
bring wastewater around to a system that was only sized for the motel. so
currently they had two cesspools here that were sandwiched between the
swimming pool and the drainage easement. There was a drainage line in
there from Main street. It just got paved with a catch basin. This would
require turning the plumbing around and going into the front yard, The
motel shows a retrofit into the existing Title 1 systern. By the way, both of
these systems did pass a Title V inspection during the transfer, Those
reports were in the file* This was ar unit 249 bio, iere with an 81 diameter
cylinder. it was a modified trickling filter dentrifiation system with a
fixed film aerobic process. This was the only s stem that would really fit
into this area. Them were currently two large trees a beech and an oak
tree, since they did have a parking pattern with the-exception of where
those trees are, They plan to Mice array those trees and insert the unit in
that location* They will intercept the piping over to the d-box through that
unit with a re-circulating line back to the inlet enol of the tank,, That was
the denitrification system. There were some variances requested in the
comer letter and on the plan itself. To do this system in the front yard the
grater service was less than 101 to the SAS, There was currently water
service in the front yard. They would line to replace than service, sleeve it
and leave it in this location. That would provide double protection there
with the new lines. The next item was number two. A standard Title
system from the water protection regulation rather than trying to denite
this and this Mr. Ryther is now pointing to the plan itself.) on this lot. The
next item addressed the regulation that asks for 10 milligrams a liter or
less of total nitrogen. speaking to a manufacturer of this unit. He had
spoken to the manufacturer of this unit who advised him that he could get
this down to 12 to 15 milligrams per liter. It would certainly meet the DEP
requirement of 19 milligrams per liter.
Mr. Harrington interjected that 19 was residential and 25 was commercial.
Mr. I yther thanked Mr, Harrington for the correction. He re-adjusted his
calculations and stated that they could certainly meet that one. He did
1
