• speak to Mr. Heufelder who he saw a the test center located at Otis. Mr.
Heufelder stated that one of the best ones was the Bio-dere for results*
Mr. Ryther thought that the Amphidrome was a better choice. But, again,
to retrofit this existing system the Bio-dere would work best in this
situation. Mr. Heufelder did not have any that had actually gotten down to
10 with more or less the off the shelf denitrification units.
Mr. Harrington asked Mr. Ryther if he could ask a question. He said to Mr.
Ryther that he had not seen any elevations on the detail for the Bio-dere.
How r much of this was sticking out of the ground?
Mr. I yther responded that three feet would be out of the ground. He added
that this machine was quite deep. The tank was down a ways.
Mr. Harrington understood that it was a big unit and he wondered how
much was going to be above the ground. He didn't have anything to go by
Dere in relation to the location.
Mr. Fyther apologized for that omission. But, he did want to see if the
board would accept this design where he was at this point. It was a
stamped drawing, 1t did not have a complete set of detailed page or
profiles, He would certainly provide the board with this information. But,
he didn't want to go in the wrong directionN
1r. Harrington agreed and said than that was fine. Hei was just curious.
Mr. Ryther stated that the last item was the ground water well. There was
a requirement that they needed a groundwater well 101 from the let line
down gradient of this system. One of the problems that they had on this
site was the drainage. The main street here drains down through this
direct pipe through a low area on parcel one. In fact, it was off the lot
were it drained to. The site here, which was paned, had an area that had a
catch basin that drained back into here. He points this information out n
the plan.) They mould see two waterways, These waterways were paged
swat s that drained into tete lower area with a lot of surface run off
retaining nitrogen. It all went right here. (Again he points to the plan.) To
place any kind of a well 101 off of the lot line would suggest in here or
perhaps something here. But, it was so close to one leach pit. He was not
sure if that was way to test this site.
i
IIIb. Harrington asked if he could back Mr. Ryther up for one second. Was it
a dorm grade property as far as getting to the groundwater flog
Mr. Ryther responded that it was probably off in this direction. (Again h
Points to the plan itself.)
2
