Mr. Ball asked Ms, Carron to read back the notion.
Ms, Garron read the notion as follows. Motion to approve the use of the
Bio-clere denitrification system. The installation to begin no later than
December 111, 2004, and finished before ,January I'll, of 2005. The testing
i
will be out of the d-box replacing the need for a monitoring well. The
grater service will be replaced and re-sleeved, The milligrams of total
nitrogen went from 10 to 25. Both systems to installed and completely
running before the motel and/or office/house to be re-opened. The
certification of compliance to be issued as the confirmation of the
installation of both systems. The 0 & M must also be received with the
quarterly testing for nitrates for two years as per the regulation.
Mr. Santos seconded the motion. Motion passed,
Appointment: Horsley bitten - Main street 1filia e
Ms, Ann Bo ucki was present from Horsley & Mitten Group. she began by
stating that she had seat the board a rather large pile of paper because
they were doing this as an application for a shared system, It was a 40B
and will involve the DEP approval as well as the board's approval. They
would like to start construction early this fall if at all possible. The DEP
approval time can take up to 90 days. if they could get approval from the
board it would help them get started on their construction.
Mir. Santos stated that he remembered looking at the preliminary plan
without the septic system. It was just the road drainage itself* A lot of the
proposed retention areas for the road drainage were basically kettle holes
already. He knew that they had requested the results of the perk tests
because there was a stream not to far array from this property. There was
nothing on this plan showing if they were close to wetlands or 150, away
from that stream. His biggest concern was the roam drainage going Into
the existing fettle holes already that retain water and the impact to that
stream,
MIs. Bogucki replied that the stream was shown on the more recent plan.
Mr. Harrington pointed out on the plan the edge of wetlands and the 1001
from the stream. They went out there and slid more perk tests. He asked
Ms. Bogucki to run through the details of the system itself. They had evade
a change from the Advantex to the Waterloo Bio-filter.
Ms. Bo ucki explained that the denitrification system would be performed
by a Nitrex system. It was a new system although there had been one
installed at the test center on the base since 2001, it had been performing
2
