1 <br /> 7 <br /> 3 <br /> Mr. Santos wanted this thing cleaned up and a better breakdown. <br /> Mr. Harkington recommended that they execute this contract and then <br /> shop after this one. Mr. Santos already voiced his opinion. He wanted to <br /> give#hem their dues and shop afterwards. But that was the beard <br /> members call. it was an $800.00 savings. He was going to take that and <br /> run with it. But, if they warted hold out for more that was fine. <br /> Mr. Santos felt that if they wanted to come in front of them the next <br /> meeting and justify why. He would be happy to listen to therm. <br /> IIs. Grady agreed with hire. <br /> Mr. Santos made a motion to continue this agenda item in order to request <br /> Woodard & Curran's attendance to discuss Increase in contract fees. Ms. <br /> Grady seconded the motion. Motion passed. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> A. Signatures for the Landfill Mowing Contract <br /> The board members signed the landfill-mowing contract* <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> A. MM - Second Detection of TCE East of John's-Pond in Groundwater. <br /> Mr. Harrington stated that there was another well installed at Pondvievwr <br /> Drive. They were notified that 1milligrams per liter of T E at 240 to 265 <br /> feet below the ground, They were installing other wells. One was to the <br /> north. Then they have to go onto the Southport property. They were in the <br /> process of getting permission to do that. He believed the military was <br /> going to send out notices or they had sent out notices. They did send a <br /> notice out to everyone over in that area. But, they were going to notify <br /> just the people with wells. From what they told hire, they didn't really <br /> foresee any problems with the wells anyway because it was so deep, But, <br /> still it las still within the board of health's realm to got people to connect <br /> up to town water because all of those areas have town water, <br /> Mr. Santos asked if the military was going to pay for the hook-up. For a <br /> while they were offering to hook people up to town water. How about <br /> sampling the wells? <br /> Mr. Harrington replied that they had been sampling the well s, They pretty <br /> much sampled everyone who was over there with wells. They received <br /> notices of all of the sampling. They found out today that one of the septic <br /> treatments that they put in to get the septic to work a little, it has <br /> petroleum distillates. It had chlorinated distillates in it. That is why they <br /> think that some of these other odd Fits of T E were corning from those <br /> S <br /> 4 <br />
