Glenn Santos, Steven R. Sall, Glen E. Harrington and <br /> Veronica A. Warden <br /> APPOINTMENT:T: Deborah Billings - Body Art Licenses <br /> . Deborah Billings RN, CPN, MPS was present. She is a nurse with 20 <br /> years experience. She was seeking ar permit for body art in the guise of <br /> permanent makeup. She had some information on the services that she <br /> would be offering. She was ACLS certified. She had infection control <br /> background and taught a course for OSHA for office child care Services <br /> to license daycares. She had been trained ji.n doing the procedure. It was <br /> a tattoo procedure but if was done on the fop dermal layers of the skin. <br /> Her intentions were to provide a service to the community for <br /> chemotherapy patients that required eyebrows or eyelashes, People with <br /> alopecia who have some partial hair loss, There would also be a service <br /> for the removal of radiation tattoos from radiation therapy. There would <br /> eyeliner; lip liner and lips with eyelash enhancement would be the <br /> procedures they would be offering at this time. She would like to operate <br /> out of Sunsational Tanning. She would be.seeking a permit of <br /> establishing a body art facility also. The bio-hazardous material would be <br /> handled with a small sharps. container. Everything was disposable that <br /> she would be using right now. She wouldn't be using any machine <br /> equipment. It was a hand tool that was disposable. The needles would <br /> get disposed of in a sharps container. They could dispose of that in a bio- <br /> hazardous wa to department at Tufts New England Medical center where" <br /> she currently works full time as a nursing supervisor. She also worked at <br /> Falmouth hospital as a staff nurse. If there were any miscellaneous fire <br /> hazard equipment she would have a red bag on band. They had agreed to <br /> take that also. The sharp container was only about this big and only <br /> required the needles. There was not a lot of disposal. As far as cross- <br /> contamination-all the needles would be sterile and brand new. There <br /> would be a one-time use. Everything would be sanitized. The whole area <br /> would be sanitized. All of her equipment would be used one time also and <br /> then disposed of. She would lie-happy to answer any questions. <br /> Ms. Warden asked if she was going to block off an area forju t her <br /> clients while they were waiting and for privacy during the treatment. <br />
