L 4 Glen Harrington stated that Mr. Hynds carne in before, because when the house was'done, BOH asked him to connect the four and the two into one system to make it six bedrooms so that it could all be treated by the Fast system. The Board granted him a variance so he didn't have to do that, because it was ar Conservation requirement and not a BOW requirement that it was stemming from, even though Mr. Hynds was at the six bedrooms level. The reason for the BOH variance approval was financial hardship for Mr. Hynds, being the difference between the o. Fast system and the larger Fast system. The 0.5 Fast system is just good for four bedrooms, and Mr. Hynds needed the larger Fast system for the six bedrooms. There is a matter of 11,000 that IIIb. Hynds would have to pay to Install the.larger Fast system. The den ite system that was installed two years ago cost Alar. Hynds$4000. . Glen Harrington stated that right now, Mr. Flynds is proposing to put a bedroom upstairs in the barn. The barn is constructed, and the plan was to have a bathroom so that the tank down to the Fast tank was shown but was originally permitted with an unfinished upstairs. Mr. Flynds is now looking to put in a bedroom upstairs, and Glen is essentially back to where he was before, trying to get the entire property tied in to one denite unit so that everything is treated and Mr. Flynds can get a higher Fl.. Mr.Weber suggested striking a compromise, by installing a g.9 Fast den ite un it which is good for b bedrooms. This would cover the four bedroom house and the barn bedroom, and would cost only oo veru 1X1,000. This mould leave the two bedrooms over the garage off the denite system. Glen Harrington replied that he had talked to John Rowland, who represents J & l Engineering, who sells the Fast units. John stated that the 0.5 is good only for four bedrooms. The 0.9 is good for five bedrooms. From sic to nine bedrooms you need to go to the high strength 1.0 alenite unit. Lucy Burton stated that she is not happy with approving seven bedrooms on the property without having a 1.0 Fast septic unit. The 130H has a regulation, and if we bend it by compromising here and there, it would be opening a Pandora's Box. Glenn Santos stated that he agreed-with-this opinion. Luny Burton made a motion to continue Mr. Flynds'formal application for seven bedrooms on the property at 333 Monomo coy road. Steven Ball seconded the motion. All approved. 4. Temporary Food Permit: The Uncommon C06, Mashpee Commons. Glen Harrington stated that Mashpee Commons haid approached the,eafa to request that they put up a temporary food stand to provide food for the Seaside Le Mans Face. The request was received two weeks prior to the event. Steven Ball roved that the request for a temporary food permit for a food Mand in Mashpee Commons for The Uncommon CaM be approved by the Board. Lucy Burton seconded the motion. All approved. S. Temporary Food Permit* The Fountain of Juice. Glen Harrington reported receipt of a request submitted on 9!07105 by the Fountain of Juice for a temporary food permit for a temporary food stand in Mashpee Commons to provide food for the Seaside Le Mans race to be held Saturday, 9/10/05. Glen stated that the request was received late, because Mashpee Commons had only made the request on 9/07105 to the Fountain of Juice. The food stand would be located directly in front of the Fountain of Juice. After discussion by the Board, it was decided It would be unwise for the BOH to make an exception to the rule that requests for temporary permits must be submitted to the Board at least two weeks in advance. 3
