Veronica Warden reviewed the contents of a memo <br /> from Glen Harrington to Joyce Mason, dated 11/16105: <br /> Four-Wheel Dilve Vehicle. The existing 130H vehicle is a 1996 Jeep Cherokee with 70: 100 ,Hiles and <br /> will be 11 years old in FY 2007. Any,major problems with the vehicle are expected to cost approximately <br /> the value of the vehicle. repairs dudng the last year included replacement of radiator Inoses: brakes on <br /> all four wheels($400.00), and a windshield replacement. Existing problems include a seat belt that does <br /> not stay fastened, a brake pedal pad that has fallen off, and the exterior tdm/door=stop has fallen off. <br /> Landfill Capp 1, Project In the FY 2006 C IP, Woodard &Curran consulting firm was hired by BOH to <br /> provide ars estimate of$79,860 to loam, seed,-and re rade approximately three acres of the northwest <br /> corner of the landfill. The corner continues to become sparser with vegetative cover. DEP has been <br /> made aware of the condition of the landfill cap via required quarterly reports. <br /> The drainage berm surrounding the landfill cap also has been documented as too sparse of vegetation. <br /> ,000 has been added to hydro-seed the berm. The soil/compost for the berm will be provided and <br /> graded by the DPW. DPW has approval from DEP to utilize street sweepings and compost for an <br /> approved cover material on the landfill cap. BOH will continue to work with DPW to redu a costs and <br /> comply with the landfill requirements. At this time, no violations exist, but should DEP inspect and require <br /> action, the Town will be able to show that,monies have at least been requested. ` <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> FYI—Flee clinic. Lucy Murton reported that 418 flu shots were administered on Tuesday, in addition to <br /> the 518 given out on Nov. 1 . Everything went smoothly, with no long waiting lines after 10 o'clock. A <br /> regional flu clinic may be conducted at a later date. <br /> FYI—Payroll stipends Reminder. Veronica Warden reported to the Board members that the B H <br /> office would be submitting requests for disbursement of the stipends for Clean Santos and Lucy Burton <br /> on the 11123105 payroll to be paid on 12/030/5. Glenn and Lucy both agreed to the date of 12/03105 for <br /> disbursement of their stipends. <br /> Proposed Regulation Re: Cesspools. Veronica Warden stated that Glen Harrington-requested the <br /> BOH give some thought as to whether they want to consider adopting a regulation that gourd ban a I I <br /> cesspools in IIIlashpee. Glen Harrington plans to draft a proposal stating that in cases where a Title <br /> inspection is required, i.e., sale of a home, or increase in bedrooms: any cesspool will be considered an <br /> automatic fail and will be required to update with a Title V system. <br /> Budget FY 2007.
