TOWN OF MASHPEE <br /> BOARD of HEALTH — PUBLIC MEETING <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of Thumd y, February ry , 2006 . <br /> Board Members Present: Board Members lent: Also Present: <br /> Glenn Santos, Chairman Lucy Burton Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Steven Ball, Co-Chairman <br /> Chairman Glenn Santos called the meeting to oder at .-00 PM. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> William and Anna Marie crane—`'Show cause"Hearing <br /> Glen Harrington stated that Mr. & Mrs. Crane were currently residing in Florida and therefore were <br /> unable to attend the B H meeting tonight. They responded to the certified letter dated 1111106 from <br /> the 130H, saying that they would be happy to take ogre of removal of the garbage grinder located at <br /> 27 Prestwick Lane, Mashpee, and asked that they be given an extension of Ume to do so. The <br /> Cranes are seasonal residents and would file to renwve the grinder upon their return to I la tepee in <br /> June 2006. Glen Harrington stated that since the fence is vacant and the grinder is not being <br /> used, there was no problem with extra solids going into the soil absorption system, Glen Harrington <br /> retcornmended that the Cranes be given a time frame in which to have the grinder removed, and <br /> suggested the date of June 30, 2006. <br /> Steven Ball made a motion to give the Cranes an extension of time until no later than 6130100 to a <br /> have the garbage grinder removed, with the stipulation that a fine of 00 per day wouId be levied <br /> for each day after 6130106 that the grinder has not been moved. Glenn Banton seconded the <br /> motion. All approved. <br /> OLD BUSINESS <br /> 't. FYI—Revised Final Draft—"cesspool Regulation" <br /> The final draft of the Cesspool Regulation was review. Glen Harrington noted that on page 1, <br /> under REGULATION, item#2 had been included to cover the situation in which a home owner <br /> planned to sell the property and ordered an inspection,and after the inspection decided not to sell. <br /> In this case, the property owner is stili rewired to upgrade to conform to the Tine V regulation. <br /> Steven Ball made a motion that the Board approve the final draft of the Cesspool Regulation a <br /> presented by Glen Harrington. Glenn Santos seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the new regulation would be advertised in the Ilahpee Enterprise for <br /> two weeks. There wound be one additional week bei final slgnoff of the regulation by the Board <br /> f Health, to allow for comments to be received from Mashpee residents. <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1- Sign Warrants. The Board members signed the warrants. <br /> . Approve Minutes of January 19, 2006. Approval of the minutes will be continued until the next <br /> meeting with full Board attendance. <br /> . FYI -Landfill Quarterly Environmental*Monitoflng Report—(Woodard& Curran) <br /> The last received October 2005 quarterly report includes the recommendation to the Town to repair <br /> landfill gas well 1 -1 , vent V_g and groundwater monitoring well W-13. Glen Harrington stated <br /> that the recommended repairs had all been completed ire receipt of the report in January. <br />
