Demolition of the
existing building is being proposed with a complete, gravity fed septic system designed with maximum
feasible compliance. The following variances are asked to be considered.
310 CMR 15 405(1)(b)&(f)Contents of Local Upgrade Approval
1. A 4'variance, S.A.S.to Cellar Wall,for a 16'setback.
2. A 1.5'variance to the 3'max. cover requirement over the S.A.S.for 4.5'cover.
3. A 50'variance, S.A.S.to Coastal Bank,for the edge of the S.A.S.to be placed at the top of"the
Coastal Bank.
4. A variance to allow placement of the septic tank on the Coastal Bank.
LOCAL REGULATION-PART IX-SECTION 9.0 LEACHING DISTANCE REQUIREMENTS
5. A 29'.vadance, S.A.S.to Inland or Coastal Wetland for a 71'setback.
Per Local requirement for I/A septic treatment within the 100 foot buffer to a wetland resource area, the
following I/A septic system components are being proposed: Sludgehammer Model P-46, 16" High
Capacity ADS Bio Diffusers and Salcor UV Disinfection Unit.
It is believed that the proposed septic system will cause less impact to the adjacent wetland resource
areas than the approved design for the existing building.
If you have any questions, please call.
hank You,
Peter T. McEntee P.E.
