BOARD OF HEALTH PUBLIC MEETING <br /> Minutes of the Meeting of February 11, 200 <br /> BOARD MEMBERS PRESENT:`: Also Present; <br /> Luc Burton, C <br /> Y Chairman Glen Harrington, Health Agent <br /> Burton Caplan, Vice Chairman <br /> Ialliope Egloff, Clerk <br /> -Chairman Lucy Burton called the meeting to order at 7-00 Pull. <br /> APPOINTMENTS <br /> 1 - Draft Nail salon Reg Public Hearing <br /> Donna Feed, a Home Salon owner, arrived at the meeting at :30 PM and introduced <br /> herself. Gonna Feed reiterated to the Boaird her concerns about the proposed <br /> regulation, stating that the significant outlay of money to meet the require-ments for a <br /> ventilation table would be a hardship for her. <br /> The Board members noted that, although home salon owners could be subject to <br /> regulations, variances to the regulations are a potential option available to them. <br /> Luer Burton voiced her concern that only one Horne Salon operator had come to the <br /> Public Hearing, stating that the BOH should have a more representative opinion of <br /> Horne Salon operators on the regulation before its approval. After discussion regarding <br /> the issue of the expense involved in meeting the eyewash station and ventilation table <br /> requirements, together with the low turnout for the public hearing, the Board members <br /> agreed on the following: <br /> i <br /> 1. the BOH needs to acquire a complete data base of all home salon owners in <br /> Mashpee <br /> . the BOH should schedule a second public hearing before approving the Home <br /> Salon Regulation <br /> 3. the BOH would need to re-write the Horne Salon portion of the Nail Salon <br /> Regulation <br /> The Board scheduled a second Public Hearing for the Nail Salon Regulation to be held <br /> on Wednesday, ( larch 11, 2009. <br /> 7:30— Matthew Haney, Lakeside Estates—Show cause Hearing <br /> Glen Harrington stated that the Shover Cause Hearing had been cancelled because <br /> Matthew Haney had met all the BOH requirements for approval of his Trailer Pari <br /> s - <br /> Renewal permit for 20 . <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> 1. sign Warrants. There were no warrants to be signed. <br /> . Approve Public session Minutes: January 28, 2009 <br /> Burton Kaplan made a motion to accept the amended Public Session minutes of January <br /> 28 2009. Calliope Egloff seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> 1 <br />
