I <br /> Burton Caplan made a motion that the Board notify Mama Stella's that their residential <br /> kitchen permit has expired, and that until they renew the permit and pay any outstanding <br /> balances, they are in violation of the BOH regulation. Calliope Egloff seconded the <br /> motion. All approved. <br /> . Review of Draft Recycling Regulation Enforcement <br /> Glen Harrington distributed copies of the most recently revised Recycling Regulation <br /> draft to the Board for further review. The Board made some additional changes to the <br /> document, which will be presented at a public hearing scheduled for 5127/09 at the <br /> Board of Health public session. The document will be published in the Mashpee <br /> Enterprise prior to the hearing. The Board will invite John Cahalane, Board of <br /> Selectmen en liaison to the Board of Health, to attend the public hearing. <br /> 7. Review of Draft Manufactured Housing e u i anti n <br /> Glen Harrington distributed copies of the most recently revised daft Manufactured <br /> Housing Regulation to the Board for further review. The Board made some additional <br /> changes to the document, which will be revised by Glen Harrington and presented td the <br /> Board at the next BOH meeting for further review and approval. <br /> . review of Draft Revisions:ns: smoking Regulation <br /> Glen Harrington reported that he heard back from Town Counsel that the Torn would <br /> not be held liable if an employee should leave the premises to go 30 feet away from the <br /> doors of a municipal building to smoke, and suffers an injury while away from the <br /> building for the purpose of smoking. <br /> The Board members reviewed the revised draft and made some additional changes to <br /> the document. <br /> Lucy Burton made a motion to add letter Y to Section v of the current Regulation <br /> Prohibiting Smoking at Food Service Establishments, Lounges, Bars, and Town-owned <br /> Buildings, outlining that smoking should be prohibited 30 feet from doors and windows of. <br /> occupied municipal buildings. Kalliope Egloff seconded the motion. All approved. <br /> . Two Missing Monitoring Wells at the Transfer station-- Update <br /> Glen Harrington stated that he found specifications for one of the wells, and has not <br /> been able to find the specifications for the second well. Glen Harrington stated that if it <br /> can be determined that both wells are the same depth of no greater than 6 feet, he can <br /> fisc the wells himself with the aid and necessary materials from the DPW. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> Swine Flu-Pandemic strategic Planning Information i <br /> Glen Harrington distributed to the Board a folder he compiled containing excerpts from <br /> different plans that are in place right now. Glen Harrington stated that in the event of an <br /> outbreak of a flu epidemic, a chain of command Inas been established for <br /> communication, but not for preparedness. The Board members agreed that education <br /> and prevention are of the utmost importance, as there will be no vaccine available for <br /> months, and a flu case must be confirmed by an individual before the vaccine is made <br /> available to them. Glen Harrington stated that Joyce Mason had called a strategic <br /> meeting for Thursday, April 29, 2009 at 2:15 PIVI to determine what to do if an epidemic <br /> does strike: and to determine any plans the BOH may have in the case of such an event. <br /> 3 <br />
