Glen Harrington stated that he will confirm tomorrow that <br /> each Board member must submit ar letter requesting reappointment to the hoard of <br /> Health. <br /> Burton Kaplan reported that he has been appointed to the Sewer Commission as a <br /> member at large. <br /> DISCUSSION <br /> FYI — Flavored Tobacco Pellets and Tobacco Plain Packs—NY Times <br /> Glen Harrington distributed copies of articles taken from the New York Times regarding <br /> the novel non-tobacco nicotine flavored products that are mined toward youth appeal. <br /> Oregon Senator Merkley is quoted in the article as saying that they are tobacco candy. <br /> Everything about thea is designed for kids, and research proves that for pe ple to b <br /> addicted to nicotine, you have to get them before 21 when their brains are still <br /> developing. Glen Harrington stated that he needs more time to work on reprising the <br /> BOH Tobacco regulation to include coverage of the non-tobacco nicotine products. -- - <br /> - EXT MEETING <br /> The next meeting of the Board of Health is scheduled for Wednesday, May 26, 2010, at <br /> :00 PM, Mashpee Town Hall.
