Cavossa Proposal to Take e over Operation of Regional Transfer station <br /> Burton Kaplan commented on an article in the Mashpee Enterprise regarding the <br /> proposal from Carl cavossa to take over the management of the Upper Cape Regional <br /> Transfer Station. Glen stated that he'hd seen the article but had received no <br /> response regarding the article from either Joyce Mason or Catherine-Laurent. <br /> 2. Landfill Monitoring contract <br /> Burton Caplan asked whether Joyce Mason on had asked the Board of Health to put the <br /> Landfill Monitoring Contract out to bid, Glen Harrington stated that the answer was no. <br /> . Big John's Dogs <br /> Lucy Burton distributed photographs of the Big John's Dogs cart located in the Mashpee <br /> Commons parking area, taken at 5:45 PM on Tuesday, ,dune e. The cart was <br /> uncovered again, with water left in the stem tables, but no food on the cart. Lucy <br /> Burton stated that at the last BOH meeting the owner, John ,asset: had earned the trust <br /> of the Board b promising to be diligent about monitoring the cart, but she has now lost <br /> p g <br /> confidence that John Jasset is capable of following through with his promises. <br /> Glen Harrington stated that although no violations have occurred, R is obvious that the <br /> cart is not being monitored, and that lir. Jasset's time is spread very thin. Lucy Burton <br /> stated that in light of the situation found on 6/08/10, it does not bode weil for the coming <br /> season, and Mr. Jasset will need to be watched more closely. Burton Kaplan asked that <br /> Glen Harrington contact Mr.Jaset to inquire about the condition of the cart found on <br /> 6/08/10. <br /> . 48 Fells Pond Road—follow-Up <br /> Glen Harrington reported that the fast word he had received was that the first rock got <br /> sent back, the second rock had been delivered., but had not yet been installed. Glen <br /> stated that the hope was that it would be installed this eek, but neither he nor Lucy <br /> a <br /> Burton had had a chance to drive by to inspect the property as of today. <br /> sw Food Aller y Awareness-�FYI, <br /> Kalliope Bgloff stated that she had been forwarded information on Food Allergy <br /> Awareness from the Food Safety and Nutrition Educator to her office, and wanted to <br /> keep everyone in the loop as to what was going on. <br /> . site Assessment for Photo Voltaic Panel Installation <br /> Glen Harrington stated that a solar assessment is to be conducted by Cape Light <br /> Compact at the Ma hpee Transfer Station to determine how many panels would be <br /> feasible for the area, and how much electricity could be generated from the panels. <br /> Glen Harrington described the panels as being on posts which go into the ground and <br /> are bolted to aluminum or stainless steel trays and are filled with dirt and weighted down. <br /> Burton Kaplan stated his concern that the panels would not withstand a hurricane.
