Maintenance Agr meat is actually taking place. Mr. Smith has a Clivus Multrurn system and a Title <br /> gray water system in his house. <br /> Lucy Burton stated that since lir. Smith is not present and submitted a letter for continuance, a <br /> decision will not be made. Ms. Burton started that no further extensions or continuances will be <br /> granted after the net meeting. <br /> Kalliope Egloff commented that Mr. Smith must submit evidence that he has had the gray water <br /> system pumped and a plan to go forward. Mr. Smith must either contact Barnstable County or Clivus <br /> New England in order to correct this situation. <br /> Burton Kaplan made a motion that the Burd of Health continue the deliberations on 266 <br /> Monomoscoy Road until the net meeting on May 9, 2012, at which a final decision will be rendered. <br /> Kalliope Egloff seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. <br /> ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br /> None. <br /> DISCUSSION - <br /> Up late on Household Hazardous Waste Collection: April 21, 2012. <br /> Kalliope Egloff commented that the Household Hazardous Waste Collection was held at Sandwich <br /> High School and that Mashpee had a much higher rate of participation in the past. In 4 hours 309 <br /> vehicles were serviced. 35 cars were from Mashpee. 32 of the 35, 91%, were year-round residents. <br /> 14 of the 35, 0%, were first-time participants. 6 of the 35, 17%, were bringing waste from a previous <br /> resident. There was no attendance from a Mashpee business. 29 of the 35 participants, -83%, came <br /> as a result of the flyer that was rnariled to all the residents and businesses in Barnstable County. <br /> The total waste collected was 3,980 gallons, about 20,510 lbs of waste, 10 tons of ha mat, was <br /> collected. These are items that are prohibited by state law to be disposed at ar transfer station. The <br /> projected cost of disposal of the materials. estimated at $9,880, and the Mashpee share is <br /> tentatively $922. This cannot be confirmed until the actual bill is received from PSC, the bid vendor, <br /> for the disposal of the ha mat. Barnstable County paid $420 in set up fees and for the contractors. <br /> Covanta SE MASS paid for the flyer, the posters, and the mailing charges. <br /> Kalliope Egloff stated that in checking the last 15 years, this is the highest participation rate Mashpee <br /> has ever had at any other collection other than Mashpee. The net collection date is scheduled for <br /> June 16, 2012, at Falmouth High School. Dehumidifiers and air conditioners will be accepted by <br /> Cpewide Compact. A $35 rebate will be given. <br /> Cigarette-Manufacturing Machines. <br /> Glen Harrington te nded a draft amendment to "Restricting ting the Sale of Tobacco Products" regulation <br /> to the Burd members. The Board members agreed to review the material and to discuss this <br /> regulation at a later date. <br /> Roche Brothers Supermarket. <br /> Burton Kaplan stated that on April 16, 2012, the Mashpee Fire Department attempted to contact Glen <br /> Harrington and Veronica Warden, and since both were unavailable at the time, the Mashpee Fire <br /> Department called Burton Kaplan. Mr. Kaplan commented than he was ill and proceeded to contact <br /> Calliope Egloff. <br />
