MAS EE HISTORICAL COMMISSION <br /> 10/20/97 . <br /> PAGE 'SEE <br /> IV OLD BUSINESS: (Continued) <br /> , Commission Procedures: (Cont'd) It was agreed that all correspondence <br /> should go through the chairperson, as written in the guidelines. <br /> Joanne suggested that whoever should pick up the mail on a particular <br /> day, unless it was specifically addressed to Joanne Ferragamo, they <br /> should feed.. free to open it, initial it, and date it, and make mote <br /> that you have either executed it, or '.t is to be followed up. <br /> `all/Winter Saturday Schedule: Ann had distributed a tentative Archive <br /> coverage schedule for 1998 (9:00 a. m. to 1:00 p. m. <br /> Discussion. <br /> C. historic District: Joanne advised that the Historic District had been <br /> passed for the study committee t the town meeting. <br /> Aran reminded the meeting that a member , as a representative of the <br /> historical commission for the study committee was mandatory. It was <br /> reminded that we do not have a volunteer as of this date to sit on <br /> the study committ e* <br /> D. Computer Update: Axe. Whitlow explained that they would have to make <br /> some decisions relative to the computer, the Internet, and the designated <br /> phone line. Ann has been wor J.ng up some figures; we can postpone this <br /> until we are connected to the Internet in- January. Ann explained the <br /> future expenses which would be involved In connecting with the Town of <br /> Mashpee computer, and to be connected to the Internet, and the dedicated <br /> phone line* <br /> Discussion, <br /> Following discussion, R. Burns suggested we wait until Ann Whitlow returned <br /> from Florida to be connecters to the Internet, at which time, the commis- <br /> sioners will discuss the matter further. <br /> V NEW BUSINESS: <br /> A. Correspondence: <br /> 1. Morgan Peters Application: Joanne explained that this had arrived at <br /> Che last minute for all o them. I organ appeared at the Archives on <br /> Saturday and was agreeable to make any of the changes which had been <br /> recommended by the co issioners. The application has been received <br /> by the Bay State Historical League. Joanne explained that here had <br /> been a notice in the paper on October 10, 1997 that he had presented <br /> his application to the hoard of selectmen, and it had been approved. <br />
