They will <br /> be on display throughout the week-end, and Joanne hopes <br /> throughout the summer. <br /> Joanne wanted to stress that the ceremony is open to every- <br /> body. <br /> ver r- <br /> bod . Joanne indicated that she has tried to reach out t <br /> the community to put across the message that everybody is <br /> invited to participate.. <br /> Jean Delerl is organizing the 125th Anniversary center <br /> in the bank at the rotary. Hours 9: 30 - 3 : 30 , Daily, <br /> 9 :00 - 12 :00 on Saturdays. <br /> Iv OLD BUSINESS <br /> Local Comprehensive Plan: Joanne explained that she re- <br /> gretted that she had missed the meeting with Tom Fudala. <br /> n her part, she felt she had been a bit lax in reading <br /> the objectives from the Mashpee Comprehensive Plan. <br /> This local comprehensive plan is becoming quite an issue <br /> in terms of people are questioning the details; how is <br /> it going to be enforced; hoer regulatory it will be. <br /> Even though we approved this plan, Joanne feels at some <br /> point, we might want to give it closer scrutiny* If it <br /> should put a burden on the commission, we might want to <br /> be aware of that since we are only volunteers. It ap- <br /> pears that the historical commission is going to have a <br /> lot of responsibility in tens of the ancient wars or <br /> the roadways, etc. we should be selective. Joanne ex- <br /> -pressed- 'the <br /> x- <br /> -press d 'the f ling_` that she was remiss in teras of not <br /> .going through these objectives and goals with a fine- <br /> toothed comb. when we have a chance, we should make notes <br /> and have another discussion. <br /> People have gone to the planning board meetings with some <br /> questions relative to who is going to enforce this, and <br /> how costly will it be. Joanne explained that once this <br /> goes to Town Meeting, this is going to be the plan on <br /> which the town is going to be managed. With that idea in <br /> mind, we should draft a letter- after we look at these, <br /> and say, "These are our idealistic goals, and ask the <br /> questions, what are our real responsibilities? Where <br /> is the money going to come from to establish and imple- <br /> ment <br /> ple-!ment appropriate regulations and policies? who is going <br /> to implement the regulations?" <br />
