Chairperson, Lee <br /> Gurney presided. - <br /> Commissioners Present: Rosemary Burns, Lee Gurney, and Frank Lord. Gordon <br /> Peters also attended the meeting. <br /> Commissioners Absent; Sunny Merritt, Paula Peters, and Gail Slattery. <br /> The Minutes of the October Tdmeeting were approved as presented. <br /> The Commission discussed clarifying the pdsition of the IVIFIC as relating to helping the <br /> ll ashpee One-loom Schoolhouse Preservation Council, Inc. IVIOSPC . We are <br /> grilling to assist them but not manage their projects that need to be completed: A <br /> motion was made that- Lee Gurney speak to the Selectmen liaison, Wayne Taylor, to <br /> clarify our position. <br /> Lee Gurney has submitted the budget to administration at the Town Hall for the MHC for <br /> fiscal year 20 08, starting July 1, 2007, and requested level funding, sane as for fiscal <br /> year 20 . She continues to work on administration issues, including setting goals and <br /> making progress towards their successfui completion and organizing our activities. She <br /> also proposed that vire get a consultant to evaluate our coilection of artifacts, etc., to <br /> decide what to keep and what can be disposed of. <br /> Frank Lord continues to work with members of the MSC, with special interest in the <br /> schoolhouse restoration and the future opening of it to the public. He is presently , <br /> working ing rrith members of the Warnpanoag Tribe to tape record historical memories of <br /> the schoolhouse, including stories of past generations who may have attended school <br /> thea. <br /> Judy Godin, a volunteer, has offered to continue to train our clerk and other members <br /> on the use of the Access database. We discussed groups of ,materials that remain to be <br /> entered, such as, photographs, videos, and more data from the 1834-1870 period. <br />
