FIs. Reed reported that the 705 <br /> residents have been contacted to conduct reeertifications; Quick Books has been installed--all <br /> residents are entered, rent roll for July, August and part of SePtember has been entered. A report <br /> will be generated for the next meeting. Quick Books is a very good program, very simple and will <br /> certainly meet the needs of this housing authority with regard to rent roll, payroll, reports, etc. <br /> The U.S. Postal Service is now requiring that all mechanical meters are required to be replaced <br /> with electronic meters. <br /> Legal Services is soliciting individuals to sit on their Board of Directors. <br /> Annual Mashpee Housing Authority Christmas Party Buf et--e ls. heed is currently contacting <br /> prospective sponsors to hold the annual event on December 1 , 1997. Star Market, Stop & Shop <br /> and CCB&T have been contacted as well as local merchants in the Conimohs, <br /> Sons of Italy will be sponsoring a free Thanksgiving Dinner for seniors on November 16th. <br /> Ten of our seniors will be attending and three individuals will have their meals delivered, <br /> Ms. heed advised the Board that she will be on vacation the week of Thanksgiving. <br /> Other Business: <br /> Ms. Younger reported on the Commissioners Training session held in Easton. She felt the session <br /> was very good, extremely informative. Gary IPace spoke on the budget process; Daren Ahler <br /> presented legal issues—open meeting laws, taping meetings, etc. Ms. Younger felt it is good to <br /> share with other housing authorities and commissioners. <br /> Karen and Stu gave a brief description of the Mass Su'm it�-Promise of our Youth Conference <br /> held on October 18th at Northeastern University. There were approximately 1,500 delegates., <br /> representing communities from across the Commonwealth. Governor Celluei, former Governor <br /> Weld, legislators, Bill Cosby were all in attendance. The conference dealt with volunteensill t <br /> Ileal with youth issues, particularly mentoring.
