ti <br /> e. 667-1 Elderly/Disabled session--conducted by Mark Slotnik whoadvised that their is a <br /> reduction in the number of housing authorities assigned to Asset Management ent Specialist. If'the <br /> wait list is depleted--applicants over 50 years and under 60 years will be eligible. There will he <br /> more focus on competition and recruitment of applicants. Housing Authorities are being <br /> encouraged to look at increased coordination between social/health service agencies to better <br /> serge individuals in elderly housing. <br /> d. workers Compensation session--Mass west is expanding into other insurance areas <br /> such as health, dental, etc. More information will be forthcoming. <br /> e. Mary Lou Crane described the climate at TD--continues to downsize", eliminating <br /> some area offices. This region will not be affected as yet and will maintain the Regional office. <br /> . Attended workshop n diversity, sponsored by Mass NAURO Professional Development <br /> Committee. Jane Edmonds conducted this excellent session. FIs. Edmonds is an attorney, who <br /> formerly chaired the Mass Commission Against Discrimination. She presented ease lav and share <br /> many situations. Because f�her dynamic presentation, she rade the group feel very comfortable <br /> with sharing some of their personnel experiences. <br /> TNA1T'S ASSOCIATION: <br /> Ms. Burke reported that the officers assisted with the interview process for hiring the <br /> Administrative Assistant. <br /> The Resident's Association has been meeting with representatives from the Ma hpee Commons <br /> and the Police Department and has been successful in getting a cross walk in front of the <br /> development. They will continue to work n other issues of safety. <br /> OTHERUSINESS <br /> Legislative Day will be held at the State House on January 28, 1998. The Executive Director will <br /> e attending. Anyone interested should contact the Director. <br /> TAP application is due and will be submitted on December ber 1, 1997. <br /> There being no further business to cone before this Board, a motion was made by Mrs. Mills <br /> and seconded by Ms. Younger to adjourn.
