rr4
move in early Mune, Mrs. Botsford is in the process of selecting a neer tenant to fill the
vacancy.
Mrs. Botsford stated that she was in the process of purging the waiting list. She stated
that the two-bedroom list was extremely long resulting in up to a two year wait for
emergency applicants. She requested the board to approve requesting permission
from DHCD to close the two-bedroom list. A short discussion ensued and it was
decided by all that it would be a good idea to request closing it.
For a social activity, in addition to bingo this month, the housing authority is hosting a
scavenger hunt on Saturday, the 1 Vh of May which will also serve as a benefit to the
Christ the King Food Pantry.
Mrs. Botsford reported that she made laminated, lame-pant cards for residents to keep
by their phone. The cards contain the emergency numbers and how to contact
someone in the event of an emergency when the office is closed.
Old Barnstable Road (705): Mrs. Botsford reported that the 705 resident did move
without the housing authority having to pay for moving and storage of her belongings
but unfortunately there is a lot of work that needs to be done to get the unit in livable
condition. There was a lot of damage done by the cats urinating and defecating on the
rugs. The walls were repaired and the painting has been done. Mrs. Botsford provided
pictures of the damage to the unit.
Mrs. Botsford reported that we have 2 AHVP vouchers, 25 MRVP Mobile, 29 Project
Based Touchers, 1section 8 Certificates, and 9 Section 8 Moochers leased in
Mashpee.
OLD BUSINESS-
Evaluation
USS ESS-Evaluation of Executive Director: Ms. Younger stated that she wished to table this iter until
net month.
NEW BUSINESS:
Cellular Phone: Mrs. Botsford stated that she had placed this item on the agenda at the
request of II►Ils. lounger after being at an event at Fairwinds when she was paged three
different times and had to use the phone there. Mrs. Botsford explained that can be difficult at
tires to respond quickly to pages because she needed to find a working phone to use and if
she is on the road it means getting off the highway, finding a phone that works and that she
can hear at and if the Breather is inclement it can be very inconvenient. Mrs. Botsford stated
that it would be a lot more convenient to have a cell-phone to return calls when paged. Ids.
Younger stated she wanted to be sure it was a justifiable expense. Mrs. Botsford stated that
she has four different quotes, one of which was from the same company used by other
housing authorities and the price was very reasonable. els. Younger suggested checking vAth
