Botsford stated that she felt she could do a <br /> better job and feel more.secure in her role if definite expectations were laid out with regards to <br /> items such as agenda creation, dealing with the press, etc. Mr. Peoples stated that the Board <br /> exists to set policy and not to get involved with the day-to-play activity of the housing <br /> authority. Mr. Peoples suggested use of the NAHRO guidelines. Ms. Younger stated that she <br /> felt that the executive director should communicate with the Chairperson if there are as <br /> special issues that come up, if there was a special iters that was requested to be added to the <br /> agenda, or if there was an article that would appear 1n the paper. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: Mone <br /> COMMUNICATION SCOI I I SPO DENCE: <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that she had received a letter from the Boys and Girls Club requesting <br /> a donation. It was the consensus of the hoard that since they are a non-profit organization a <br /> we are that we would not make a donation. A memorandum from DHCD was received <br /> offering a free workshop on July 21 regarding the public bidding process. Mrs. Botsford has <br /> signed up for that training. A notice was received from the Cape Cod Commission <br /> announcing that applications would he received for assistance through their Technical <br /> Assistance Program.. Mrs. Botsford submitted a copy of the application that she intends on <br /> submitting, as the current TAP grant is just about tip. The consultant is in the process of <br /> drafting a Pre-development plat for the housing authority. <br /> Next meeting will be held Thursday, July 8, 1999 at : o PM. <br /> A motion was made by FIs. Proton and seconded by M . Younger to adjourn.
