To <br /> 1 R <br /> 0f ..' <br /> Minutes of the Meeti n <br /> MASHPEE HOUSING AUTHORITY <br /> Board of Commissioners <br /> November 9, 2000 <br /> The meeting was called to order by the vice-chairperson at 5.36 p,m. and a quorum <br /> declared with the following members present. E. Stuart Peoples, Mary Likins, Barbara <br /> Thurston, and Laverne Williams. Lord Finton was absent. Also in attendance was Leila <br /> Botsford, Executive Director and Lois Barthel and Cheryl Burke, residents of Horeyer <br /> Village. <br /> SECRETARY'S REPORT: <br /> Minutes for regular meeting held o.n September 14, 2000 were presented. Lotion <br /> was made by FIs. illiams and seconded by FIs. Thurston to accept the <br /> minutes as presented. The motion was adopted. <br /> TREASUREWS REPORT: <br /> Budget_ o Actual and Narrative: Mrs. Botsford stated that she was unable to provide the <br /> board with written reports regarding bank balances as the bank statements had not yet <br /> come in this month. The Budget to Actual Report, prepared by the fee-accountant, was <br /> presented to the Board, which represented the fourth month of the fiscal year. Mrs. <br /> Botsford pointed out that vire are still using last year's budget amounts due to the fact <br /> the budget for Fiscal Year 2001 has not yet been approved. She reported that all line- <br /> items were within budget. she stated that she had received verbal notification from <br /> DHCD that all items would be approved with the exception of the increase of hours for <br /> the Administrative Assistance, Mrs, Botsford stated that she is noir awaiting written <br /> approval. <br /> Accounts Payables, Payables totaling $10,739.41 plus $1,658.00 in landlord payments <br /> were presented to the Board for review, approval and signatures. <br /> Rent Delinquencies: Mrs. Botsford stated that all rents are paid in full at both Homeyer <br /> Village and Breezy Acres. A Motion was made by Ms. Williams and seconded by <br /> Ms. Thurston to accept the Secretary's report as presented. The motion was <br /> adopted. <br /> PROGRAM UPDATE: <br /> Hor Byer Village * Mrs. Botsford reported this past month, in addition to Bingo, a <br /> pot-luck dinner was held which approximately 10 residents attended. A cooking for <br /> One demonstration was also-offered to the residents. <br /> ree Are ,(705): Mrs, Botsford reported that she and Attorney Grace have been <br /> mediating with the family (and their attorney) that we started to pursue an eviction to <br /> see if the tenancy can be saved.
