Human Services Council (MHSC), the CHOO (Cape Housing officials organization) <br /> meeting,, the UCDVC (Upper Ca Domesbc Violence Coalition) and the Affordable <br /> Housing Committee. she attended the annual spring H H o convenbon at the sea <br /> Crest in Falmouth which was very good this year. she also attended a legislative <br /> breakfast last week in sandwich in which a new pilot program for affordable housing <br /> was announced by Fannie May. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that we have 3 AHVP vouchers, 23 MRVP Mobile, 33 Project <br /> Based Vouchers, 4 section B Certificates, 2 Section 8 Vouchers and 24 Housing choice <br /> Vouchers leased in Mashpee. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: <br /> As Path/Route iodate: Mrs. Botsford stated that she has been in constant <br /> contact with Ann Houston at MHPF and they have revised 4 drafts of the IFP. There <br /> are still a few sterns in the RFP that we need some legal advice on, I HPF has agreed to <br /> have their attorney review it and get back to us with an opinion, MHPF has also offered <br /> to hire someone to doaerimeter survey (which should be done to be included in the <br /> p <br /> RFP packet), and the housing authority repays thein once the development is done. <br /> Mrs. Botsford reported that IHPF is also going to take care of getting a 2E (which is <br /> an environmental and wildlife study). Mrs. Botsford will be doing a market anatKis to <br /> demonstrate need and she will meet with the zoning and planning depa nnents to <br /> obtain zoning reaps and all relevant zoning codes. Mrs, Botsford also needs to try to <br /> meet with the water department to be sure that the current grater mains can <br /> accommodate another 56 ung, Mrs. Botsford stated that the biggest thing that needs <br /> to be accomplished is to form a non-profit corporation, I HPF recommends this as the <br /> only possible way that we could be selected to manage the property i.e. select tenants, <br /> maintain property, collect rents, etc.). The non-profit coed mirror the housing <br /> authorities existing board, in addition to other members of the community, Mrs. <br /> Botsford stated that she recommends this as a good option not only for this <br /> development, but also to open up the possibilities for future projects. Mrs. Botsford <br /> suggested the possibility of inviting the toil n"s affordable housing -committee to join the <br /> non-profit, I HPF has recommended applying for assistance with Massachusetts <br /> Lawyers" clearinghouse which is an agency that offers pro-bond lege assistance for <br /> not-for-profit agencies. After a short discussion, a motion was made by Ms. #lithe <br /> and seconded by Ms. Williamsto form a non-profit corporation. The motion <br /> carried. <br /> tf rdable Housing Mrs. Botsford stated that they had a two hour meeting <br /> last week in which a lot was accomplished. A mission statement has been agreed upon <br /> and we are continuing to work on formulating at least three goals for the committee. <br /> The committee plans on going before the selectmen for their"stamp of approval"for <br /> the committees goals and also to proclaim affordable housing a priority in the town of <br /> l ashpee. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Elections: Ms, Finton stated that the first meeting after the town electrons is normally <br /> the annual election for the board.
