We have received a couple letters from other housing authorities that we administer <br /> - i Section 8 Vouchers rs Frith. Some authorities are lower their administrativefee (the <br /> amount they pay us to administer the voucher). W will need to consider this when <br /> doing our budget for fiscal year 2005. <br /> 0 I received a copy ofthe draft RFP (Request for Proposals) that DHCD issued on befall of <br /> four housing authorities, including Mashpee, to select a designer for modular buildings <br /> which would be eventually built on our existing 705 site (Breezy Acres). They have <br /> asked rine to review it for errors and/or changes and I will be doing so in the corning <br /> weeks. <br /> Mashwe.Affbrdablle Housing Trust: <br /> Proposed contract was given to us and to Stuart Bornstein. We are waiting to hear from <br /> his attorney. <br /> 0 I sent a letter to the selectmen asking for abatement for the building permit. <br /> 11e received a letter from a woman (Corrine lfickei) who is interested in serving on the <br /> trust. I wrote back tolling her that as soon as the next meeting was scheduled I would <br /> contact her to welcome her to attend. <br /> 0 The property needs to be surveyed so that the boundaries are obvious when deciding <br /> where to place the house. <br /> Mr. Halpern stated that he has talked to Ernie vagillio about volunteering to be Clerk of the <br /> Works for the non-profit's first development and he has agreed to. <br /> OLD BUSINESS: alone <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> Annual Elections: The Chairperson announced the opening of nominations for election of <br /> Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. A motion <br /> was made by Mr. Halpern and seconded by Mr. Peoples to nominate David Harsco <br /> for the position of chairperson. The motion carried unanimously. The chairperson <br /> announced the opening of nominations for election of Vice-Chairperson of the Board of <br /> Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. A notion was rade by Mr. Harsch and <br /> seconded by Mr. Halpern to nominate E. Stuart Peoples for the position of Vice- <br /> Chairperson. The motion carried unanimously. The Chairperson announced the opening <br /> of nominations for election of Treasurer of the Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee <br /> Housing Authority. A motion was made by Mr. Harsch and seconded by Mr. Homeyer <br /> to nominate Richard Halpern for the position of Treasurer. The motion carried <br /> unanimously. The Chairperson announced the opening of nominations for election of <br /> Assistant Treasurer of the Board of Commissioners for the Mashpee Housing Authority. <br /> motion was made by Mr. Homeyer and seconded by Mr. Harsch to nominate <br /> Deborah Battles for the position of Assistant Treasurer. The motion carried <br /> unanimously. <br /> OTHER BUSINESS: T1s. Battles gave a brief update on the goings on of the to n s Affordable <br /> Housing Committee and suggested that she be the designated liaison between the committee <br /> and the housing authority, A motion was made by Mr. Halpern and seconded by Mr. <br /> Homeyer to assign Deborah Battles for the position of liaison to and from the town's <br /> Affordable Housing Committee. The notion carried unanimously. hers. Botsford stated <br /> that she would send a letter to the chairperson to notify there. <br /> Page 2 of 2 <br />
