Attachment A: <br /> Executive Director's deport <br /> For the months of April 2009 <br /> Program update: <br /> Home er Villa : We had all rents paid in full at Horneyer Village. The vacancy on the second <br /> floor will be leased in early May. We have one new vacancy on the first floor. The resident was a heavy <br /> smoker and the unit has to be totally rehabbed ---flooring and painting, as well as some minor repairs. <br /> The unit should be ready to be leased in early June. I am in the process of qualifying applicants# As <br /> usual, the monthly newsletter was sent out to all residents. <br /> r�Acres/705: We had all rents paid in full at Breezy Acres, although a check was returned and <br /> the resident has been notified that a replacement payment is due, plus fees. We are l00% occupied. <br /> A her's Path: We had all gents paid in full at sher's Path and we have no vacancies, although there <br /> will be two vacancies in May. As usual, the monthly newsletter was sent out to all residents, there was a <br /> birthday party and bingo. Unfortunately, we had a death at Asher's Path on April 23 which was classified <br /> as a suicide. I responded to the site at about 7:15 AM and stayed for the day. Martha Berth, Resident <br /> Services Coordinator for Peabody Properties carne down and helped coordinate a meeting with the <br /> residents that evening, as several were pretty upset. The following day we held a meeting with the <br /> police chief, the Samaritans, and Lynn Waterman from the Council on Aging. Grief counseling was made <br /> available for any residents that needed it. Annual recertifications will start next month and run through <br /> July. <br /> Miscf: <br /> • The monthly M VP AHVP/DMH reports were submitted. <br /> • The monthly Energy Consumption reports were submitted. <br /> • I attended the following meetings: SMEDA (Southeastern Mass Executive Directors <br /> Association), Crape Mousing authority director's meeting, and SHAD (Small Housing Authority <br /> Director's organization). <br /> • I attended a two-day Spectrum training In Boston for tIHT <br /> • I attended a MassHousigs Minority Women's Business vendor tradeshow in Braintree to do <br /> outreach for minority vendors <br /> • I plan on attending the MassNAHRO spring conference <br /> • we have been re-certified for CORI system <br /> • All waiting list updates have been completed <br /> MassHousing will be starting the review of the housing authority on Wednesday, May 27 <br /> AHVP Vouchers: we have 2 AHVP vouchers. <br /> MVP VOUCHERS(MOBILE): Currently we have 17 voucher holders in Mashpee. <br /> MRVP Project Based Vouchers: we currently have 37 P8 vouchers leased. <br /> HM Program: we currently have 3 leased. <br /> Section B: We currently have 9 Housing Choice Vouchers leased in Masbpee. <br /> - - <br />
