Rents were
increased from $647 t $681 on May 1. I've done memos, an article in the newsletter, and had a
meeting with residents to discuss their dissatisfactions with it. I also made arrangements for the Tax
Credit Compliance specialist to come done and speak to a couple residents to reinforce the LIHTC
requirements, and how and why rent is increased. As usual, the monthly newsletter was sent out to all
residents, there was a birthday party and bingo. Residents had a Memorial Day cookout. Annual
recertif cations have started and run through ,duly. The i ashpee
High School Key Club carne to Ashers Path on May 21 and hes a Luau party for the residents. It was very
well attended and was a lot of fun. A thank you note has been sent. They require a written agreement between Peabody Properties and
the housing authority with regards to how they will assist us during and after the transition,
and the fee that they will charge us for that. I have drawn up a contract and Melissa Fish is
reviewing it. We are hoping to finalize it and get it to fassHousing in the next week or so.
• A meeting at MHIC is scheduled for Monday., Juno 22 to discuss getting i HIC's permission to
take over management of Asher's Path.
