Mashp -Wa y eke -2- March 28 2000 committee discussion proposing a nonconfrontational, nonenforcement, resident patrol of Mash - laky Lake, in coordination with harbormaster Perry Ellis, to observe and report obvious infractions . Mr. Cadrin suggests the idea f a shore watch patrol, given the legal ramifications, and feels having a designated citizen patrol would be at the extreme . The proposal would -include providing information to Perry Ellis and to educate people on regulations . Mr. Edward Syrjala suggests compiling a body of informational data for use with regard to State enforcement. Mashe- Ca key Lake ticket violation data information could be obtained from Mr. Perry to assist the committee . Mr. Cadrin and Mr. Frits hi note there appears to be n parking or access problems at the lake' s public boat ramp i and parking area, and it appears to be well structured. The capacity is 30 parking spaces, with boat space for lake residents . listing of Mashpee-Wakeby Lake fishing tournaments schedule could be obtained from harbormaster Perry Ellis, and Mr. Cadrin has agreed to mention this to Perry Ellis . The fishing tournaments start in April. There is ars Internet .listing of all state fishing tournaments . There is a scheduled town meeting with the State on enforcement and regulations . The meeting will take place after waterways Commission Chairman Jim Danks is available . Mr. Fritschi feels that jet ski use on the lake is of particular concern. A Patriot Ledger newspaper article states Town of Plymouth is con-sidering total ban on ]et skis . Cape Cod Times article states that the National Park Service has banned jet ski use in 66 parks and seashore areas, but not the Cape Cod National Seashore . Mr. Taylor would wish the committee to stay informed on this .
