T6w.n Mwshpe ........ -- - ----------
Great Neck Road North
Mashpee, Massachusetts 02649
MaslipeewWa-keby Lake Management Committee
Minutes of the Meeting of M' 23, 2000
The regular meeting of - the M shpee- Aeby Lake Management
Committee was called to order by Chairman William Mair tern
t 7 : 40 p.m. I dition to Mr. M r ter , . those members
present were William R. Taylor and Haas Fritschi . This
provided the required forum.
In the area of old business, Mr. Taylor has provided a list
of all bass fishing tournam t . The tournaments will run
from April 29th to October 22, 2000 .
Mr. Marsters has checked with the harbormaster Perry Ellis
on parking fees for boat/jet ski i co bination trailers . The
harbormaster informs that one parking fee may be assessed
for boat/jet ski combination trailers .
The committee would consult with the harbormaster on the
matter- of painted limes in the boat ramp parking area,
which are in bad condition also, there is no signage for
the number of vehicle parking spaces available. The
harbormaster has to implement this . Mr . Whritenour will be
contacted in this matter . The boat ramp is state property,
but the town has assumed some maintenance and management
duties . The money collected from the boat ramp operation
is deposited ited into the general fund. The committee feels
some of this money should be directed toward maintenance in
the boat ramp parking area.
The water level of Mashpee- akby Lake has risen a. little
but is well within limits . There is currently one, six-
inch board in place, which ]peeps the water at a certain
leve. . It is expected, in the drier months, the water will
recede by perhaps a foot in level .
