Nichols
Attendees: Members: William
Taylor,'Hans Fritschi,, George Bingham, Barbara Nichols,, -
Guests: Edward Baker
The minutes of the November 26, Zoo
meeting were accepted as read.
Agenda topics
[ end topic 1]'Lake level
isc ssion: The lake has remained in the 55.6-55.7 range for the past 2
months - inches o water
i
going over the boards in the dam. December 1
, g
installed a metal type
staff`gauge in the concrete flume wall inside the metal cage. Barbara Nichols was thereoincidently for
o
}
her bimonthly measurements when the engineers were present. This gauge was correlated with feet above
sea level so that the late-level can be more easily monitored. 55.5 feet above sea level 1s at the 1.0 mark
on the gauge. It was noted that the measurements done by Barbara were nearly identical with engineers
giving credence to the data.
Conclusions: The pond remains slightly above the goal of 55.5 despite several large rainstorms.
[Agenda topic 21 Dolly Reservation Update
Discussion: Barbara spoke with Mile Labossiere Janes 11 to see if a solution
 had been found for the
open latrine area found on the beach last summer. Nfi e said that the lack of access for maintenance of a
chemical toilet or porta-potty, and problems with vandalism in other areas had delayed a solution. i
l=ie said
the property was subject to a new maintenance plan by 2009. Mr. Baler felt the area should b
closed to
boat landings until the problem was rectified, and the Board of Health notified.
Others mentioned that it was arobl we were not
p gong to be able to solve.
Conclusions: The problem should be reported if not corrected.
