i [Agenda topic 3] Boat launch rules & signs Discussion: Barbara spoke with Heidi on January 11, 07. The request for signs at the boat launch has been sent in to the prisoners, and it is expected the signs will arrive before s rin . Launch fees will increase to $5.00 for MA residents and$15 for out ofstate plates. The raa p attendants ars prepared-to hand out the boating rules when taking fees for the use of the ramp. Conclusions: Launch fees will increase this spr'ng. . T - [Agenda topic ] Newsletters Discussion: The spring newsletter will need to be finished by March. Barbara presented 2 articles she had i . . . mitten, one addressing the increase in boat fees at the launch area, and the fact that the fee was for the use of the ramp, and the other explaining the new staff gauge to monitor pond levels. The bass tournament list will be included,'and but Vall need to be updated first. Conclusions. Members need to get.their contributions in by the next meeting. [Agenda topic ] Bass Tournaments Discussion: Ferry Ellis left the bass tournament list as of December L 06 in our mailbox. Members were upset that the boat numbers had increased to 60-70 boats on 3 occasions, and again a large tournament was scheduled for the Sunday of Memorial weekend. The parking lot cannot hold vehicles and trailers for that number of entries. A,meeting of Town Departments was held just under a year ago to ad dress these issue, but the problems rernam. Bill Taylor suggested having boat vendors displaying mg vares for a fee and Coast Guard inspections ons as a - y to introduce more of the public to the lake.
