Nichols Aftendees:: - Members: William Marsters,Hans Fritschil Barbara Nichols <br /> Guests: Edward Baker,Don Myers, Liaison <br /> The minutes of the March 2 , 2008 meeting were accepted as written. <br /> Aaws <br /> gend . o. . <br /> (A-goda.-topi c I l Cale I <br /> Discussion: Barbara Nichols reported the April lake fe els as 55.57 and 55.6 ft. above sea level with 9.5 <br /> and 10 inches of water going over the boards: The lake has remained fairly stable with no board <br /> adjustments since August f 2006. fir. tschi felfthe level as still a little high, but it has no't risen to <br /> the height of causing shoreline damage. <br /> The increase in seagulls indicates that the herring are.returning to the lake now-that the weather has turned <br /> warmer. Barbara wondered if the wam anoags can still take herring from the river when there is a state <br /> ban on it for three years. Mr. Myers stated that it was still legal for them to do so. <br /> �k <br /> Conclusions: The lake level remains fairly constant, and slightly above target level of 5 5.5t. <br /> [A" n a-topic ]-Ne letter <br /> Discussion. Barbara Nichols prepared the newsletters for wiling and turned them in to Leisure Services. <br /> There were three 8 X 11 sheets of paper, folded. Mr. Baker told the committee he had received his <br /> newsletter and the cost to mail it from the Town's machine was 80 cents. Members felt this was high,, and <br /> wondered why. IIS-. Myers gilH ook into.the cost. Ione bad been returned for incorrect addresses. <br /> Conclusions: The spring newsletter has been mailed. Mr. Myers will look into the higher cost of Town <br /> mailing. <br />
